Once There Was A House: echoes from the Villa of the Mysteries, a site-specific installation by Katha Seidman and Laurie Kaplowitz, opens at the South Shore Art Center, 119 Ripley Road, Chohasset MA, on September 16, 2016.  Taking inspiration from the famed Villa outside Pompeii, our "house" reflects the contemporary anxiety that our future could also become abruptly disconnected from the present. On October 14, 2016, Katha Seidman opens a solo installation, Night Walk, at the Brookline Center for the Arts, 89 Monmouth St, Brookline. A romantic and mysteriously eerie three-dimensional narrative, Night Walk explores the beauty of the woods at night and the anxiety every woman feels when she walks there alone.

Besides being an accomplished artist, Katha Seidman is also a two-time Emmy Award winning production designer.
